When you subscribe to DV Watch alerts, we collect your email address, selected language, consent timestamp, confirmation status, confirmation date, unsubscribe status, and related subscription records.

Why we collect this data

We use this data to send the Diversity Visa status alerts you requested, confirm your subscription, manage unsubscribe requests, prevent duplicate subscriptions, and operate the DV Watch service.

Email confirmation

DV Watch uses email confirmation to make sure that the person subscribing controls the email address. You may receive a confirmation email after submitting the subscription form.

Service providers

DV Watch uses third-party service providers to operate the website and email alert system.

• Vercel for website hosting and deployment.
• Supabase for subscriber database storage.
• Resend for sending confirmation emails and broadcasts.
• Google Workspace for professional email communication.

Unsubscribe

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any DV Watch email or by contacting us at contact@dvwatch.org.

Data retention

We keep your subscription data for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we may keep limited records needed to make sure we do not email you again.

No sale of personal data

DV Watch does not sell your personal data.
